Bobbie Livingston, M.D., is a champion for physician-driven care in today's Long-Term Care arena. This well-known doctor and Medical Director launched Preferred Provider Services, LLC, in late 2007 to serve Denver's Front Range after practicing Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in the area for more than 20 years, both in hospital-based and private group practice.

Preferred Provider Services is a group of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and consultants, who specialize in delivering medical care to the high acuity patient outside of the hospital. PPS sees patients in skilled rehabilitation facilities, retirement communities and private homes. Soon PPS will service the Colorado Springs communities.

The PPS team is committed to providing an enhanced medical presence to treat the medically complex patient using:

• Six day/week rounding teams
• Seven day/week triage
• Electronic communication with hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, consultants and community physicians via a state-of-the-art Electronic Medical Record.

The PPS Triage team consists of some of the most experienced nurses in the community. Bedside consultations in Wound Care, Psychiatric Services, Palliative Care and Hospice are available through PPS when needed.

Preferred Provider Services emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and accessibility with every employee adhering to a strict code of conduct and participating in regular educational meetings. PPS is a true collaboration between physician and facility, and who wouldn't want that?
